We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Redbridge to assist with the appointment of a Helpdesk Support Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. The London Borough of Redbridge is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Helpdesk Support Officer to join its Facilities Management team. Acting as the first point of contact for facilities-related enquiries, you will play a key role in coordinating maintenance requests, supporting property services, and ensuring the efficient operation of the Council's estate. This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment where you will manage facilities requests through the CAFM (Civica) system, liaise with contractors and stakeholders, and help deliver an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Log, track, and manage facilities requests through the CAFM (Civica) system.
  • Support the Facilities team with research into repair solutions and service improvements.
  • Ensure CAFM system data is accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Update job completion records and close documentation correctly.

Essentials:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative, data input, or customer service role.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to work across multiple systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage high volumes of requests.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and make effective decisions under pressure.
  • You should have right to work in the U.K.
