We are working closely with Southern Housing to assist with the appointment of a DLO Electrician, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Qualified Electrician required to support the Direct Repairs team by delivering electrical repairs, maintenance, testing, inspections, and installation services to residents, internal staff, and partner organisations. The role is primarily based across South London and includes participation in an Out of Hours rota.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance works within residential properties.
  • Undertake electrical testing, inspections, surveys, and fault finding.
  • Complete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and associated documentation.
  • Conduct Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) as required.
  • Produce accurate reports and certification in line with current regulations.
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and electrical regulations.
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent recognised qualification)
  • AM2 certification
  • Inspection & Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or 2395)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (City & Guilds 2382)
Essentials
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
  • Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
  • No serious motoring offences within the last 10 years.
  • Minimum 2 years' driving experience.
  • Experience carrying out testing, inspections, fault finding, and certification.
  • Strong knowledge of current electrical regulations and health & safety requirements.
