We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in North Northamptonshire to assist with the appointment of a Multi skilled operative, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at client's discretion.
Rate of Pay: £17.40 - £23.98 per hour

An opportunity has arisen for experienced Multiskilled Operatives to deliver a high‑pressure reactive repairs service within occupied social housing properties across Northamptonshire. This role requires qualified and proven trades professionals with strong multiskilled experience across a range of repairs and maintenance disciplines. The successful candidates will work within a fast‑paced reactive environment covering over 8,000 properties and garages, supporting responsive repairs, emergency callouts, and void property works.
Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive repairs and maintenance within occupied social housing properties
- Complete emergency callouts within required response times
- Undertake void property repairs to bring homes to lettable standard
- Deliver high‑quality multiskilled repairs across a variety of trade areas
- Work safely and professionally within tenants' homes
- Complete repairs within service deadlines and productivity targets
Qualifications
- Relevant trade qualification or equivalent proven experience
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ proven trade experience
- Strong multiskilled experience including Carpentry, Plumbing, Tiling, Plastering, Bricklaying, Fencing, Flooring, Groundworks
- Experience working within occupied social housing environments
- Ability to work in a high‑volume reactive repairs environment
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Availability to work immediately or at short notice
