We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Conwy to assist with the appointment of a Specialist Vehicle Driver, on a 2-month contract, highly likely to be extended at client discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
The Specialist Vehicle Driver – Greenspaces will support the delivery of grounds maintenance and environmental services across parks, landscaped areas, highways, and public green spaces throughout Conwy. The role involves operating tractors and specialist vehicles, using mounted equipment, and contributing to the upkeep and enhancement of outdoor environments to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate tractors and specialist vehicles across a variety of outdoor environments.
- Use tractor-mounted implements including flails, gangs, harrows, winches, and other associated equipment.
- Carry out cyclical highway verge cutting and grounds maintenance activities.
- Maintain parks, open spaces, landscaped areas, and highways to a high standard.
- Conduct routine vehicle and equipment checks, ensuring machinery is maintained and operated safely.
- Work in accordance with Health & Safety procedures and safe systems of work.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Relevant licences/certifications for operating tractors and specialist vehicles.
- Experience using tractor-mounted equipment and associated implements.
- Previous experience operating tractors and specialist grounds maintenance vehicles.
- Experience using implements such as flails, gangs, harrows, and winches.
- Right to work in the U.K.
