We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in West Sussex to assist with the appointment of a Caseworker – Refugee, Resettlement & Migration Service, on a 7.5-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Guide adult family members through the welfare system and assist with a clear pathway to independence, being cognisant that this path may look different to previous levels of training and employment.

Provide a high level of professional support and guidance to achieve key outcomes regarding housing, income, education, employment, health and wellbeing.

Understand and work within the principles of confidentiality, equality and diversity and safeguarding.

Maintain and apply excellent knowledge of relevant legislation and national/local processes and practice in relation to refugee resettlement to uphold standards of best practice.

Educated to degree level, or equivalent qualification or extensive experience in refugee resettlement and migration or social care.

Experience in coordinating and working with partners and volunteers in the resettlement context or in a similar field.

Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to facilitate and implement support plans for refugees with partners and volunteers.
