We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Refuse/Recycling Driver to support the delivery of efficient waste and recycling collection services across Carmarthenshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of refuse and recycling collection vehicles, supervising the collection crew, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and providing a high-quality service to residents and businesses.
Responsibilities:
Safely drive and operate allocated refuse/recycling collection vehicles in accordance with road traffic legislation and Council procedures.
Ensure all waste and recycling collections are completed efficiently while maintaining high health and safety standards.
Assist with loading refuse and recycling containers when required to support service delivery.
Use initiative to resolve collection issues, including contamination, access problems, and unique customer requirements.
Support other collection crews and assist with route optimisation to improve service efficiency.
