Overview

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Camden to assist with the appointment of a Caretaker – Non Resident, on a 1-month contract, highly likely to be extended at client\’s discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration. Rate of Pay: £16.43 – £21.48 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out day-to-day cleaning, caretaking, and minor maintenance duties within housing estates.
  • Ensure communal areas, including stairwells, lifts, entrances, and outdoor spaces, are kept clean, safe, and hazard-free.
  • Monitor health and safety risks on site and take prompt action to address or report hazards.
  • Safely handle, store, and use cleaning chemicals in line with COSHH regulations.
  • Carry out minor repairs and report any significant repairs or maintenance needs.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of Health and Safety requirements, including risk awareness.
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Basic maintenance and repair knowledge (desirable).

Experience

  • Minimum six months experience in caretaking, facilities, cleaning, or estate management.
  • Experience in working independently and taking initiative.
  • Experience of delivering customer service to residents or the public.
