Overview

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Caretaker, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay

Rate of Pay: Β£15.86 – Β£21.13 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine caretaking duties including cleaning, minor repairs, and maintenance of communal areas.
  • Ensure buildings, facilities, and surrounding areas are safe, clean, and well maintained.
  • Report repairs, hazards, or safety concerns to the appropriate teams.
  • Support residents and colleagues by providing access, moving equipment, and assisting with general requests.
  • Lock/unlock premises and ensure security of buildings.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in caretaking, facilities, cleaning, or a similar maintenance role.
  • Basic knowledge of health & safety procedures.
  • Ability to carry out manual labour and use equipment/tools safely.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive, reliable approach.

Notes

You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.

You should have right to work in U.K

This role requires a Basic DBS
