Overview
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bath and North East Somerset to assist with the appointment of a Business Support Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at client\’s discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £128.59 – £169.41 per day
Hours per Week: 15
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to Brokerage Officers in sourcing and purchasing care provision for Children’s placements.
- Carry out due diligence checks and process requests from social work teams in line with council policies and safeguarding requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation to support placement processes.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, external providers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of services.
- Assist with monitoring and reporting on care provision to support service planning and delivery.
Qualifications
- Good standard of education (minimum GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management/recording systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Experience
- Previous experience in an administrative, business support, or clerical role.
- Experience of managing data, maintaining records, and producing accurate documentation.
- Experience working in a customer or client-facing environment.
