We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Somerset to assist with the appointment of a Cleansing Operative, on a 3.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out street cleansing operations across Somerset.
- Undertake litter picking, hand sweeping, bin emptying, fly-tip removal, and public toilet cleaning.
- Support the delivery of a clean and safe public environment.
- Drive non-LGV vehicles and operate machinery as required.
- Complete daily vehicle and equipment checks, report defects, and carry out basic vehicle and equipment maintenance, including checking fluid levels, tyre pressures, bulbs, and cleanliness.
Essentials:
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services.
