We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Basingstoke to assist with the appointment of an Administrative Assistant, on a 6.5‑month contract, highly likely to be extended at the client’s discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Information Governance team, assisting with the effective management of information requests, records, and data protection processes. The postholder will help ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures while delivering an efficient and customer‑focused service.
Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Information Governance team.
- Assist with the processing and monitoring of information requests, including Freedom of Information (FOI), Environmental Information Regulations (EIR), and Subject Access Requests (SARs).
- Maintain accurate records and databases relating to information governance activities.
- Support the coordination and tracking of casework to ensure statutory deadlines are met.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and documentation as required.
- Assist with records management and document control processes.
Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.
Essential Skills and Experience- Previous administrative experience in an office environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Right to work in U.K.
