Bracken Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a well-known Main Contractor in the UK who are seeking a Project Director to work on a number of large scale build projects. The right candidate will work with complete focus and determination to the benefit of customers and suppliers, organising resources to safely achieve maximum efficiency and output.
The project will require someone who is used to a fast paced environment with a strong focus on delivery. This might also suit someone who has worked with reputable sub contractor within RC Frames/Groundworks on large scale projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading UK Contractor with an excellent reputation and a strong pipeline of work moving forward.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the project team and manage the supply chain to deliver projects to time, meeting cost and quality targets and standards
- Ensure safety targets and standards are maintained by knowing what safety excellence looks like and communicating safety with passion and credibility in order to inspire, motivate and lead the project team
- Foster a continuous improvement culture by actively seeking input from all members of the project team and encouraging them to implement safety improvements
- Proactively manage the customer relationship during delivery, including change and decision making to effectively manage expectations, and maintain long-term relationships
- Lead, manage and deliver operational excellence and efficiency through appropriate use of leadership indicator health check reviews through the Bid, Pre-construction and Construction phases of the project
You will have strong leadership skills and the ability to lead, influence and communicate with others to deliver targets. To be successful in the role you will have significant previous experience in project management, in particular managing complex jobs within the construction industry.
