Reporting directly to the Regional Head of SHE, you will manage all environmental aspects that affect the Business. You will be part of a network of environmental professionals providing specialist environmental and sustainability advice to support pre‑construction and construction teams with large, world‑class multi‑utility and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Ensure environmental risks are identified early and solutions integrated into project design and construction.
- Deploy long‑term sustainable solutions, considering development lifecycle, occupancy, and climate resilience within award‑winning projects.
- Provide specialist environmental and sustainability advice to pre‑construction and construction teams.
- Develop documents and procedures consistent with ISO 14001 and maintain environmental management systems.
- Support environmental risk assessment and mitigation throughout the project life cycle.
Knowledge & Experience
- Good technical and industry knowledge of environmental services, including ground works, remediation, waste management, pollution control, and general construction operations.
- Clean full UK Driving Licence.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Fully computer literate; proficient with Word, Excel and other reporting tools.
- Understanding and knowledge of health and safety at work; IOSH or NEBOSH qualification advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with internal and external clients at all levels.
- Keen commercial awareness; ability to develop new business opportunities with clients.

- Environmental Degree.
- IEMA Practitioner or relevant membership from a professional body.
- Relevant experience as an Environmental Manager or similar role.
- Experience developing documents and procedures consistent with ISO 14001.
