About The Role
As an Account Manager, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative internal sales team. You will play a key role in managing customer relationships, supporting the field sales function, and delivering an excellent experience to warehouse / showroom visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of customer accounts, maintaining regular and proactive contact.
- Promote new products, services, and marketing initiatives to customers.
- Act as a primary point of contact for the field sales team, providing administrative and sales support including order processing, invoicing and logistical planning.
- Deliver a high standard of service to visitors, offering knowledgeable product advice and guidance.
- Liaise with warehouse and logistics teams to source products and ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all customer interactions are logged appropriately.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a sales support or internal sales role, including processing sales and purchase orders using ERP systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Confident and professional telephone manner, with well‑developed call handling skills.
- Proactive approach with the ability to identify and contribute to process and system improvements.
- Experience in maintaining accurate databases and administrative records.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure, making sound decisions when required.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently using initiative.
- High level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP systems (e.g. Navision) is advantageous.
- Must reside within a commutable distance of the office.
