We have a brilliant opportunity for an organised individual to join our Family team! The Legal Support Assistant will be responsible for providing a comprehensive, proactive PA and administrative support service, showing initiative and working unprompted, enabling fee earners to maximise their fee earning potential and develop their practice.
What we need from you:
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- Experience of working within a Family team – desirable.
What you’ll be doing:
- Acting as a point of contact for clients (new and existing) and internal and external contacts.
- Matter management, to include file opening/client inception.
- Preparing court bundles.
- Manage accurate monthly delivery of volume bills.
- Diary management, including making appointments and bookings, diarising hearings and deadlines.
- Audio typing/transcription of dictation and documents where required by the fee earners.
- Allocating post.
- Submitting expense claims.
- Providing prompts and reminders for fee earners’ important tasks and deadlines.
- Assisting with the preparation of standard form correspondence.
- Implementing and maintaining administrative systems and procedures.
