A well-established and growing practice in Liverpool is looking to appoint an Audit Manager to join their team.
This is a great fit for someone who's technically strong, commercially switched-on, and keen to build client relationships and get properly involved in growing the business.
What you'll be doing:
- Running audit engagements end-to-end, from planning through to sign-off
- Acting as the day-to-day contact for a varied client portfolio — SMEs, owner-managed businesses, professional practices, and not-for-profits
- Managing a team of four directly
- Getting stuck into business development: supporting pitches and tenders, spotting opportunities within the existing client base, and building your commercial profile within the firm
- Picking up non-audit project work as it arises — due diligence assignments, technical accounting queries, general problem-solving
- Supporting the firm's Audit Quality Control processes
What they're looking for:
- ACA or ACCA qualified, already operating at Audit Manager level
- Strong working knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards
- General practice background
- Track record of juggling multiple audits and deadlines at once
- A genuine focus on quality and attention to detail
- Exposure to SRA Accounts Rules Reviews is a bonus, not essential
