Position Overview
As a Commercial Account Handler, you play a critical role in supporting Commercial clients and ensuring their insurance needs are met. This position requires exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of insurance products and regulations. You will collaborate closely with clients, underwriters, and other team members to deliver comprehensive insurance solutions and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and requests. Understand clients' insurance needs and provide tailored advice and solutions.
- Policy Management: Assist clients with policy enquiries, changes, and renewals. Ensure accuracy in policy documentation, endorsements, and certificates of insurance. Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate and secure the best coverage terms for clients.
- Risk Assessment and Analysis: Analyse clients' risk profiles and insurance needs, to identify gaps and opportunities for coverage improvement. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes that may impact clients.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure clients' insurance policies comply with industry regulations and contractual obligations. Keep clients informed about changes in regulations and their implications.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and organised electronic client files and documentation. Prepare and deliver regular reports to clients on their insurance portfolios.
- New Business Development: Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling insurance products. Collaborate with colleagues to support business growth.
- Insurance Knowledge and Training: Stay updated on insurance products, coverage options, and industry best practices. Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Customer Service Excellence: Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing enquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. Ensure client satisfaction and retention through attentive service.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct “peer” quality checks on documentation and files, as required by the business to minimize errors and ensure accuracy. Implement continuous improvement measures to enhance efficiency.

Experience & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, and industry regulations, within the Commercial sector.
