About BR-DGE

BR-DGE is an award winning FinTech founded in Edinburgh. Our platform gives enterprise merchants more flexibility and control over how they handle payments. Since 2018, we have been building payment orchestration technology that helps businesses optimise payment infrastructure and create smoother digital payment experiences for their customers. Today, we work with well known brands across sectors such as travel, retail and gambling, and our partner network includes major names such as Visa and Worldpay. We are growing quickly, and this is an exciting time to join a business where product, engineering, and commercial teams work closely together to shape what comes next.

About the role

We are hiring a Product Owner to join our Product Delivery team and take ownership of a defined vertical slice of the BR-DGE product. This is a hands‑on Product Owner role for someone who can turn product and stakeholder inputs into clear requirements, work closely with engineering to deliver well, and become a trusted subject matter expert in their area over time. You will report to the Product Delivery Manager, and work as part of a team of six other Product Owners. Each Product Owner owns a distinct product area, but the platform is highly interconnected, so strong collaboration across the PO team is essential.

What success looks like

A strong hire in this role will, within the first 3 to 6 months:

  • Build strong working relationships with the wider Product Owner team and their Engineering Manager and their team
  • Learn the vaulting and tokenisation area well enough to become a credible subject matter expert in that vertical
  • Bring structure and clarity to requirements, backlog items, and delivery conversations
  • Operate as a trusted joint leader within the Scrum team alongside the Engineering Manager
  • Show sound judgement in prioritisation, requirement refinement, and stakeholder alignment
  • Contribute positively to the open and collaborative working style of the wider product team

What you’ll be doing

  • Own and actively manage a defined product vertical within the BR-DGE platform
  • Partner closely with the engineering team to support delivery of roadmap priorities
  • Break down product and business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Refine requirements with internal stakeholders, merchants, and external partners such as PSPs
  • Support delivery through stand ups, refinement, demos, and ongoing squad collaboration
  • Help ensure the team is building the right thing, not just building quickly
  • Work with other Product Owners across interconnected product areas to align priorities and dependencies
  • Support internal product awareness through demos, showcases, and clear communication of upcoming changes
  • Contribute to customer and partner conversations when product input is needed, while staying focused on roadmap delivery

What we’re looking for

Must have:

  • Previous Product Owner or Product Management experience in a software environment
  • Strong experience working closely with engineering teams in Agile Scrum delivery
  • Ability to break requirements down into clear stories that development teams can execute well
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Good judgement and prioritisation skills in environments with competing demands
  • Ability to process information, ask good questions, and understand the real problem before proposing a solution
  • Confidence collaborating across cross‑functional teams and building trust within a squad
  • Jira and Confluence experience

Strong advantage:

  • FinTech or payments experience
  • Experience in another highly regulated environment
  • Exposure to tokenisation, vaulting, PSP integrations, or complex platform products

Nice to have:

  • Experience with technical writing support or working closely with documentation teams
  • Experience helping internal teams understand product changes through showcases or demos
  • Experience working in a scaleup or fast‑moving product environment

What we offer

  • Competitive salary up to £60,000
  • Remote working allowance
  • 33 days holiday including public holidays
  • Birthday off
  • Flexible and remote working
  • Family healthcare
  • Life insurance
  • Employee assistance programme
  • Investment in your learning and development
  • Regular team events and socials
  • A culture that supports progression as the business grows
