Overview
In this role, you’ll ensure vendor and B&Q exclusive-brand products meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards across UK and ROI.
You’ll work within the Quality Audit team to support supplier audits, product approvals, and quality monitoring, collaborating with Commercial and Sustainability teams.
The role combines BAU activities with project work to drive continuous improvement and strong supplier performance.
This is a hands-on position with broad exposure to product lifecycle, governance, and cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities
- Ensure vendors comply with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
- Support new vendor/product approvals and review existing vendors/products for exclusive brands
- Collaborate with sustainability and audit teams to conduct ethical and material audits
- Gather and check assurance evidence for Required Technical File (RTF) per policy
- Develop SME knowledge for Commercial teams and vendors on product specs and packaging
- Assist in documenting product specifications and creating/updating reference documents
- Facilitate creation of product artwork and user manuals with cross-functional support
- Manage quality issue responses with governance and surveillance teams
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors
- Participate in commercial meetings and maintain QA lab workspace
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the Quality Team
- Collaborate with multiple departments to align on quality priorities
- Key requirements
- Experience managing product compliance in UK & EU markets within retail or consumer goods
- Strong technical foundation and product knowledge applied in a commercial setting
- Clear, effective communication suited to audience, with initiative and teamwork
- Proficiency in IT tools, especially Excel and Power Point
- Project coordination experience and ability to drive initiatives from concept to delivery
- Experience working with external partners such as vendors and service providers
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor training is a distinct advantage
- Commercial awareness balancing policy and business objectives
- Analytical, detail-oriented with good cross-functional influencing skills
- Willingness to travel overnight occasionally
