Position

Customer Advisor

Location: B&Q, Margate

Contract: 3‑Month Fixed Term

Hours: Up to 20 hours per week – shifts Monday to Sunday, 7:00‑9:00 pm

Hourly Rate: Notional £12.71 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Act as an expert customer advisor, guiding customers through their home improvement projects.
  • Sell products and provide suitable recommendations.
  • Manage stock, set up displays and ensure the store looks appealing.
  • Be trained in paint‑mixing and cutting timber as needed.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.

  • Friendly, outgoing and passionate about home improvement.
  • Help‑oriented, eager to learn and open to new technology.
  • Strong teamwork skills and flexible to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
  • No prior experience required – entry level.
