We are looking for a professional and vigilant Retail Security Officer to join our team at B&Q. As a visible presence on the shop floor, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of our customers, staff, and stock. Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Prevent theft, damage, and other illegal activity by monitoring the shop floor and surveillance equipment.
- Act as a deterrent through visible patrols and excellent customer service.
- Assist in conflict resolution and incident response when required.
- Liaise with store management and emergency services when necessary.
- Prepare and maintain security reports.
Working Hours:
This is a full-time rota. You will be required to work Sundays and Saturdays as well as mixed shifts. You are required to support stores to backfill holidays and vacancies.
Qualifications:
- Previous security experience preferred (retail security is a plus).
- Valid SIA Licence (Security Industry Authority).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle incidents professionally.
- Reliability and flexibility.
