At B&Q we have a hybrid approach to working to increase flexibility in when and where we work. For this role we are looking for someone to be able to work from our head office 3 days a week.
What's the job?
- To support the Vendor Development Team by assisting in data analysis, reporting, and administration.
Responsibilities
- Track Commercial Metrics: Help in monitoring key commercial metrics such as cost price movements and vendor contract progress, ensuring data accuracy.
- Support Data Analysis and Reporting: Assist in generating analytical reports to support cost price negotiations and vendor performance tracking.
- Vendor Management Assistance: Maintain databases and provide support for vendor risk management governance and reporting.
- Assist in Buying Progress Tracking: Aid in tracking the buying process, ensuring alignment with vendor income objectives.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with the Commercial Team, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to support various initiatives.
- Governance and Process Support: Provide administrative and analytical support for new commercial activities, helping ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Maintain Communication Channels: Assist in coordinating communications with vendors and internal stakeholders for seamless operations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel: Intermediate skills in handling data, creating reports, and visualizing insights.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data to support decision‑making and reporting.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in tracking commercial metrics, vendor performance, and financial data.
- Effective Communication: Ability to present data and insights clearly to team members and stakeholders.
