Senior Consultant / Manager - Transformation & Business Case

We are supporting a consulting firm delivering a major transformation programme for a UK-based insurance client and are looking for a Senior Consultant / Manager to support the further development and operationalisation of an existing business case.
This is a highly client-facing role for someone who can engage confidently with senior stakeholders, gather and structure requirements, translate them into actionable plans, and work at a very high level in Excel.
Key responsibilities will include:
- working directly with the client and senior stakeholders,
- gathering and structuring business requirements,
- analysing data and business case assumptions,
- building and refining financial and operational models in Excel,
- translating analysis into clear recommendations and actions,
- supporting the wider consulting team across the transformation programme.
What we are looking for
Ideally, you will bring:
- experience at Senior Consultant / Manager level within consulting, transformation, strategy, transaction services, M&A, or a similar environment,
- very strong Excel and financial modelling skills,
- hands-on experience developing or refining business cases,
- confidence working directly with senior client stakeholders,
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
- the ability to turn complex or unstructured information into a clear and practical plan,
- excellent written and spoken English.
- Previous experience within insurance or broader financial services would be highly desirable, but is not essential.
Contract: B2B
Start: ASAP
Initial duration: approximately 2 months, with potential for extension
Commitment: full-time preferred; part-time may be considered initially for a strong candidate
Location: London / Paddington
Working model: hybrid, with approximately 1–2 days per week onsite with the client
Preference for candidates already based in the UK, ideally in London or within easy commuting distance of Paddington.
The successful candidate will report into a senior leader with anM&A background, so the bar for analytical quality, attention to detail, pace and stakeholder communication will be high.
