Chartered Accountancy Training Contract Opportunity
The Position
BPU Chartered Accountants is looking for ambitious graduates who are prepared to work hard within a team environment and help the firm to realise its goals. We are currently offering the following opportunity:
- A three year Chartered accountancy (ACA) training contract to start Tuesday 1st September 2026
- Formal tuition provided by Kaplan to take you through the various stages of the Chartered Accountancy examinations
- Help from student mentors and a training manager at the firm
- An opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients in a number of sectors
- Achieve a recognised and prestigious qualification
- Work in a close and friendly team where there are regular social activities and charity events to get involved in.
We offer a competitive starting salary with increments during the three year training contract. All training costs and study leave are paid for by the firm for first sittings of examinations.
About the Role
- Learn a wealth of accounting and finance skills from book-keeping through to the audit process from qualified experts
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements for limited companies, LLPs, and charities from trial balance stage
- Work in the audit and accounts team to build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients
- Provide assistanceon statutory audits as you continue to learn on the job
- Develop your project management skills to meet work and budget deadlines for clients
- Learn a variety of accounting software programmes including Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
The Person
- A 2:1 (or higher) class of degree (actual or predicted) is required
- Must be a team player
- Good communication skills
- Ability to think outside of the box and want to contribute ideas
- Have ambition and determination to succeed.
