BPTW is looking for an Architectural Technologist Apprentice who is keen to progress within one of our dedicated architectural design teams while studying towards a recognised industry degree.

Your role

As a key member of our team, you will be supporting the delivery of large-scale UK residential and regeneration projects within a collaborative teamwork environment.

You’ll work alongside talented designers, helping to translate designs into effective, practical and sustainable building solutions, through technical drawing and detailing.

You will ensure projects are both compliant and meet the highest technical standards, whilst effectively building your knowledge of all RIBA stages, in particular the later delivery stages, RIBA 3-6.

You will spend 4 days a week in our studio in Greenwich developing your hands on practical and technical knowledge and one day a week attending your degree course at London South Bank University.

What you will bring

Our ideal candidate will be keen to build a career in the built environment, with a particular focus on the architectural and technical construction aspects of buildings, helping to bridge the gap between design concepts and practical implementation.

You will be working in a multi-team environment, collaborating on projects where accuracy is of the utmost importance, so excellent communication skills, team‑working and a keen eye for detail are a must.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Working towards Design and Construction Management Degree BSc (Hons)
  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
  • A good level of numeracy

Essential qualifications (required for enrolment)

  • 5 GCSEs (A-C including Maths and English or equivalent)
  • Higher National Certificate (HNC) in a related subject with merit grade or Level 4 Apprenticeship in a relevant subject or equivalent level 4 qualification
  • Personal Specification
  • Self‑motivated
  • A willingness to learn and be guided through mentorship
  • Ability to plan, manage and prioritise workload and communicate requirements effectively
  • Confident, enthusiastic, and positive attitude with the ability to build relationships externally and across the Practice.
