About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team based at Bothwell Park Industrial Estate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a dynamic and supportive environment, gaining hands‑on experience across a range of projects. The successful candidate will assist in the financial and contractual management of projects, ensuring cost efficiency and value delivery while maintaining high professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Measurement and valuation of works (on‑site and from drawings)
- Preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts
- Monitor project costs and identify potential risks or savings opportunities
- Assist with the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Review subcontractor applications and payments
- Maintain accurate financial records and reporting
- Support contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
- Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and site teams
Key Skills & Requirements
- Degree or working towards a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good understanding of construction processes and cost control principles
- M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) knowledge desirable but not essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
