Role Description

This is a full-time, office-based role for an Estimator located in Uddingston. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for various projects, analysing project requirements, and preparing tender submissions. Day-to-day tasks will include evaluating blueprints, coordinating with project managers and suppliers, managing pricing proposals, and ensuring estimates align with client specifications and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in cost estimation, budgeting, and project analysis.
  • Proficiency in reviewing drawings, schedules and project specifications.
  • Experience with tender preparation and contract negotiation.
  • Familiarity with estimating software and tools.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with subcontractors, merchants and clients.
  • Ability to work on-site in Uddingston with a hands-on approach to project requirements.
  • Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a similar field are preferred.
