Harmony Energy is one of Europe’s leading developers of renewable energy infrastructure and we are looking for a Finance Apprentice to join our Finance Team in our Knaresborough office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking an entry into a career in finance and you will be working closely with the finance team to provide support across a wide range of finance related functions. Alongside your practical experience you will complete a structured apprentice programme building the technical and professional skills required to succeed in a career in finance.

About the role. We are looking for a Finance Apprentice to join our Finance Team. Based in our Knaresborough office the Finance Apprentice will be an integral member of the Finance Team reporting to the Finance Manager. A genuine interest in renewable energy is desirable.

Key responsibilities
  • Preparation of management information
  • Responsible for month end accounting including posting journals, P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting preparation of cashflow forecasts and budgets
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Providing support to tax advisers for corporation tax returns
  • Assisting with preparation of statutory accounts
  • Supporting audit processes for Group Companies
  • Identifying and delivering process improvements and introductions of control where necessary
  • Any other duties that may reasonably be required within their role

Future Prospects Following successful completion of the apprenticeship, the role offers the opportunity to step into other roles within the finance team.
