Harmony Energy is one of Europe's leading developers of renewable energy infrastructure and we are looking for a Finance Apprentice to join our Finance Team in our Knaresborough office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking an entry into a career in finance and you will be working closely with the finance team to provide support across a wide range of finance related functions. Alongside your practical experience you will complete a structured apprentice programme building the technical and professional skills required to succeed in a career in finance.
About the role
We are looking for a Finance Apprentice to join our Finance Team. Based in our Knaresborough office the Finance Apprentice will be an integral member of the Finance Team reporting to the Finance Manager. A genuine interest in renewable energy is desirable.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of management information
- Responsible for month end accounting including posting journals, P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting preparation of cashflow forecasts and budgets
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Providing support to tax advisers for corporation tax returns
- Assisting with preparation of statutory accounts
- Supporting audit processes for Group Companies
- Identifying and delivering process improvements and introductions of control where necessary
- Any other duties that may reasonably be required within their role
Future Prospects: Following successful completion of the apprenticeship, the role offers the opportunity to step into other roles within the finance team.
