You will be responsible for designing and shaping a programme of activity to embed AI across the business and to raise the level of AI capability across the organisation as a whole.

What you’ll be doing

In this role you will design and shape a programme of activity to embed AI across the business and to raise the level of AI capability across the organisation as a whole.

The role is about defining what good looks like and turning it into practical, value generating adoption.

Working through a network of AI champions and in close partnership with the People team (HR), change and operational teams across the business, the AI Lead identifies high value opportunities, shapes the roadmap of AI use cases, and drives enablement, training and best practice so colleagues across all brands can use AI safely, effectively and to commercial advantage.

As such, you will be responsible for

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and shape a programme of activity to embed AI across the business, with clear priorities, sequencing and outcomes.
  • Identify and prioritise high value AI and automation opportunities, building the case for each and shaping the roadmap of use cases.
  • Raise the level of AI capability and confidence across the organisation as a whole.
  • Design and deliver enablement, training and learning resources so colleagues at all levels can adopt AI effectively.
  • Define what good AI use looks like and share practical guidance, playbooks and worked examples.
  • Track capability uplift and adoption across brands and regions.
  • Work closely with the People team (HR) to embed the AI programme across the workforce.
  • Help shape AI training requirements, support clear and consistent communication, and track progress and capability uplift across the organisation.
  • Build, coordinate and energise the network of AI champions, supporting them with content, community and recognition.
  • Use the champion network to scale adoption, surface new use cases and embed AI into everyday ways of working.
  • Partner with the Change Manager to drive AI adoption and behaviour change.
  • Promote safe, responsible and compliant AI use, working with the relevant teams on data privacy and appropriate guardrails.
  • Embed AI across local brands and international regions, including Australia and Canada.
  • Work with the Value Creation Analyst to evidence the commercial and operational impact of AI; cost to serve, productivity, conversion and experience.
  • What we’re looking for

To be successful in this role you will need to have a proven track record in the following areas:

Skills, experience & qualifications required - Essential

  • Strong, practical understanding of AI and automation and how they can be applied across a business, including everyday tools such as Microsoft 365 Cowork or Anthropic Claude.
  • Experience designing and delivering AI enablement, adoption or capability-building programmes.
  • Ability to identify high-value AI use cases and translate them into practical, value-generating activity.
  • Strong influencing and engagement skills - able to build communities and drive adoption through others, without direct authority.
  • Awareness of AI governance, data privacy and responsible-use considerations.
  • Commercial acumen and a focus on measurable impact.
