BPO Group is a Mayfair-based luxury travel and lifestyle group comprising three distinct brands: BPO, our bespoke private office service; Bluebird Travel, our established leisure and corporate travel business; and Health Travel, our specialist luxury wellness travel brand. Across the Group, we work with high-net-worth individuals, families, C-suite executives and businesses that expect exceptional service, discretion and resourcefulness.
Featuring three times in the Financial Times 1000, the company has grown strongly whilst still maintaining the agility and culture of a small family owned business. BPO is now investing in the sales leadership, capability and processes needed to drive its next stage of scaling. This is an opportunity to make a visible impact across an established but entrepreneurial team, helping us capture existing momentum, deepen client relationships and build scalable new routes to market across all three brands.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer and based in our Mayfair, London Office.
We are looking for a commercially minded Sales Development Manager to raise sales performance across BPO Group. The role blends hands-on sales leadership, coaching, sales enablement, account development, business development and day-to-day sales operations across our three brands.
You will bring greater structure, clarity and accountability to the sales team while respecting the deep travel expertise already within it. You will not need to be the person who knows most about every destination, fare or booking system. You will need the judgement and credibility to help experienced travel professionals apply stronger sales discipline, develop their commercial confidence and convert more opportunities without compromising our service-led approach.
This is also a player-coach role. Alongside developing the wider team, you will build your own pipeline and book of business, lead selected opportunities and demonstrate effective sales practice across luxury travel, wellness and private office services.
Sales discipline leadership and team development
- Provide clear day-to-day direction, support and accountability for the sales team, working closely with the Chief Commercial Officer.
- Run effective one-to-ones, sales meetings, pipeline reviews and goal-tracking rhythms.
- Coach the team in practical sales skills including discovery, qualification, value-led conversations, objection handling, closing, follow-up and re-engagement.
- Adapt proven sales techniques to a high-touch luxury travel environment, ensuring the approach remains consultative, discreet and service-led.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, development and retention across the sales function.
- Help team members prepare for year-end reviews through clear objectives, evidence and regular performance conversations.
Account growth, loyalty and re-engagement
- Work with travel consultants to identify existing client and account relationships that could be broadened or deepened.
- Help plan and support commercially intelligent account conversations, including cross-selling across leisure, corporate, wellness and private office services where relevant.
- Develop structured loyalty, retention and re-engagement approaches with the sales and marketing teams.
- Improve visibility of dormant clients, repeat-booking opportunities, referrals and wider relationship potential.
Business development and pipeline creation
- Design and embed repeatable processes for prospecting, outreach, qualification, follow-up and pipeline progression.
- Build and manage your own sales pipeline and book of business, leading by example through direct business development activity.
- Develop B2B opportunities with high-end businesses, executive teams, C-suite travellers and the EAs and PAs who support them.
- Help develop new propositions and routes to market, including premium business travel, corporate wellness retreats, meetings, incentives and group travel.
- Identify target organisations and decision-makers, secure introductions and meetings, develop opportunities and support them through to conversion.
- Work with marketing to create more qualified leads and stronger sales follow-up across campaigns and channels.
Sales operations, CRM and performance insight
- Oversee essential day-to-day sales operations, including team rotas, office and client coverage, pipeline discipline and follow-up standards.
- Improve CRM adoption, data quality and consistency so the team can identify, prioritise and progress opportunities effectively.
- Develop practical reporting and metrics that show activity, pipeline health, conversion, account growth and revenue performance.
- Use data to identify gaps, coach the right behaviours and recommend improvements across the end-to-end sales process.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, finance and management to remove obstacles and improve the client journey.
Service, standards and representation
- Protect and strengthen BPO Group's service standards as the sales function grows.
- Apply a world-class service mentality to every client, prospect and partner interaction.
- Represent the company professionally at supplier meetings, networking events and relevant industry events.
- Balance commercial ambition with discretion, accuracy and the long-term trust expected by luxury clients.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in sales management, sales enablement, business development or a closely related commercial role.
- Strong grounding in B2B sales, including prospecting, stakeholder mapping, outreach, pipeline management and converting longer-cycle opportunities.
- A track record of coaching or developing others and improving sales discipline without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Comfort working as a player-coach, with the appetite to build personal revenue as well as improve team performance.
- A consultative, service-led sales style suited to high-value and relationship-driven clients.
- Methodical and data-literate, with strong CRM habits and the ability to turn sales information into practical action.
- Clear, credible and emotionally intelligent communication, including the confidence to support experienced colleagues and earn trust across different levels of seniority.
- Entrepreneurial, proactive and comfortable building processes in a growing business where not everything is already defined.
- Excellent judgement, organisation and attention to detail, with high standards of discretion and professionalism.
- An interest in luxury travel, hospitality, wellness, private office or premium services. Direct sector experience is advantageous but not essential if you can quickly learn the commercial context and respect the team’s technical expertise.
What Success Could Look Like
- A clearer, more consistent operating rhythm for one-to-ones, pipeline reviews, sales meetings, rotas and goal tracking.
- Greater confidence and capability across the team in core sales techniques, adapted appropriately for luxury travel.
- Improved CRM discipline, visibility of opportunities and follow-up consistency.
- More growth from existing accounts through structured relationship development, loyalty and re-engagement.
- A repeatable B2B business development engine, with a qualified pipeline across corporate travel, executive travel, corporate wellness, meetings and incentives.
- A credible personal book of business that demonstrates the standards and methods being coached across the team.
- Stronger alignment between sales, marketing and the wider operation, with fewer opportunities lost between teams or stages of the client journey.
The role is designed to grow with the business. For the right person, successful delivery could lead to broader responsibility for the sales function and progression into a full Sales Manager or Head of Sales position as the team and commercial opportunity develop.
- Competitive salary dependent on experience, with a discretionary performance-based bonus. Potential to achieve a total of£70k OTE.
- Prime central London Mayfair office, with the opportunity for hybrid working.
- 21 days' annual leave, increasing over time.
- Opportunities for familiariasation travel with luxury travel suppliers.
- Staff travel perks and discounts for personal travel.
- Access to luxury travel supplier and industry networking events in the UK and overseas.
- Training, professional development and clear scope for career progression.
- A high-trust environment with meaningful autonomy and the opportunity to shape how the sales function develops.
- A friendly, collaborative team with regular company events and socials.
