Senior Specification Consultant

Uckfield Full-Time No home office possible

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (basic) plus guaranteed bonus and car allowance.

The Role

One of the UK\’s leading construction, engineering and M&E manufacturing organisations have a very rare and potentially career defining permanent opportunity available. Working a hybrid model based at the UK Headquarters in East Sussex, you will play a vital specification consultant/technical sales role working closely with main contractors, consultants, architects and specifiers to propose comprehensive solutions to commercial, retail, hotel, industrial and construction projects. Your work will revolve around mechanical engineering, M&E, HVAC and light structural steelwork.

Working closely with external stakeholders, clients and your internal technical engineering, CAD and project teams, you will play an integral role in achieving successful sales tenders, orders and projects.

Candidate Requirements

Superb communication and presentation skills.
Proven technical sales abilities.
Experience as a specification sales consultant, technical sales consultant, technical sales executive, sales engineer or other commercially involved sales professional.
Experience working within the specification phases would be advantageous but not essential; experience dealing with architects, specifiers, consultants and main contractors.
Background ideally in mechanical engineering, M&E, HVAC, fabrication, structural steelwork or other construction related field; for the right person we are willing to consider other technical related markets.

Location & Hybrid Working Details

This role requires occasional travel to site. The UK head office is based in East Sussex. Hybrid model – we can consider candidates living anywhere south of Oxford. Preferred to live locally in Crawley, Tunbridge Wells, Horsham, Guildford, Basingstoke, Reading or within easy commutable areas such as Brighton, Lewes, Seaford, Uckfield, Hailsham, Eastbourne, Hastings, Crawley.
