This is a new opportunity, so you'll be joining a small established team that have laid down a solid foundation for you to hit the ground running. You will have the chance to influence how things are done rather than slot into a fully gassed machine. Alongside solid technical experience, you'll need an adaptable and positive mindset, a solutions-focused attitude that suits a genuinely fast-growing business.
Essential experience:- 2+ years as a Conveyancing Fee Earner
- Solid experience in leasehold and freehold purchases
- Shared ownership transactions
- Help to Buy
- Bridging loans
- Knowledge of the Building Safety Act
- Managing a caseload of c.60 files, liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other professionals
- Conducting title checks, raising and responding to enquiries, and preparing reports
- Reviewing draft contract packs and search results (local, environmental, etc.)
- Drafting and reviewing contracts and legal documents
- Keeping clients, mortgage brokers and estate agents updated in line with our SLA turnaround times
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm procedures, and maintaining accurate file records
- Delivering an excellent standard of client care throughout the transaction
- A team player who uses initiative and stays calm under pressure when client facing
- Empathetic and a patient demeanour with clients
- Happy to chip in to build processes, as well as follow them
- Strong communicator, highly organised with their own time and workload, and detail focused
