About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and customer-focused
Fitness Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be passionate about health and fitness, committed to delivering excellent customer service, and able to support members in achieving their fitness goals within a safe and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide fitness instruction, guidance, and support to customers using the gym and fitness facilities.
- Create and deliver personalised exercise programmes tailored to individual needs, abilities, and goals.
- Conduct gym inductions for new members, ensuring they understand how to use equipment safely and effectively.
- Monitor customer progress and provide ongoing motivation and coaching.
- Offer advice on exercise techniques, fitness improvements, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Ensure all fitness equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition.
- Carry out regular cleaning duties within the gym and fitness areas in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Support the delivery of fitness classes and activities where required.
- Build positive relationships with members and provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Report any equipment faults, accidents, or health and safety concerns promptly.
- Assist with promoting memberships, fitness programmes, and club activities.
Person Specification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health, fitness, and exercise principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and professional attitude.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
