We are looking for a professional and reliable SIA Gate Person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining site security, controlling access to the construction site and ensuring all visitors, contractors and deliveries comply with site procedures. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of health and safety and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and secure working environment.

Duties

  • Controlling access to the construction site and preventing unauthorised entry.
  • Checking identification and verifying the credentials of all visitors, contractors and delivery drivers.
  • Signing visitors, contractors and deliveries in and out of the site.
  • Monitoring the site entrance and carrying out regular security checks.
  • Recording and reporting any security incidents, breaches or suspicious activity.
  • Maintaining accurate visitor, contractor and delivery records.
  • Responding appropriately to emergencies and escalating concerns to the site management team.
  • Ensuring all site access procedures are followed in accordance with health and safety requirements.
  • Maintaining a professional, courteous and approachable manner when dealing with visitors, contractors and members of the public.
  • Assisting the site management team in maintaining a safe and secure working environment.

Requirements

  • Valid SIA Licence (Door Supervisor or Security Guard).
  • Valid CSCS Card (where required).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Previous experience in a security or gate person role (preferred).
  • Good understanding of construction site health and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable, punctual and professional.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
