Our client is a leading force in the field of Surface Water Management (SWM), passionately contributing to the dialogue on integrated drainage solutions within the UK and internationally. Our diverse team collaborates on major projects with water companies, local authorities, highways, rail authorities, and developers. They are seeking a Senior Surface Water Management Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team with a national remit. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of drainage as an integrated part of green-blue infrastructure and masterplanning. With a minimum of 3 years of post-graduation experience, the successful candidate will have expertise in drainage design, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS), and possess knowledge of industry-standard drainage networks design.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant subject.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-graduation experience.
  • Competence in AutoCAD and Hydraulic modeling, preferably Microdrainage.
  • Proven track record in delivering technically excellent projects on time and to budget.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to develop innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Experience in team working on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Competence in the use of Civil3D.
  • Proven record of developing client relationships.
  • Attained or working towards relevant professional qualification.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop concepts and designs for drainage and SuDS for different clients.
  • Project and design management of schemes, delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Maintain awareness of changes in legislation.
  • Identify business development opportunities.
  • Prepare financial and technical proposals for project opportunities.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams working on projects and site teams.
  • Client and stakeholder interface.
