Position Overview: They are seeking a Senior Surface Water Management Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team with a national remit. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of drainage as an integrated part of green-blue infrastructure and masterplanning. With a minimum of 3 years of post-graduation experience, the successful candidate will have expertise in drainage design, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS), and possess knowledge of industry-standard drainage networks design.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant subject.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-graduation experience.
  • Competence in AutoCAD and Hydraulic modeling, preferably Microdrainage.
  • Proven track record in delivering technically excellent projects on time and to budget.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to develop innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Experience in team working on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Competence in the use of Civil3D.
  • Proven record of developing client relationships.
  • Attained or working towards relevant professional qualification.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop concepts and designs for drainage and SuDS for different clients.
  • Project and design management of schemes, delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Maintain awareness of changes in legislation.
  • Identify business development opportunities.
  • Prepare financial and technical proposals for project opportunities.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams working on projects and site teams.
  • Client and stakeholder interface.
