Financial Processing Manager
to join us on a 12-month, fixed-term basis, providing maternity cover. You will lead our Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll functions. This is an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for an established function, support and develop colleagues, maintain strong financial controls and progress agreed service and process improvements to meet the organisation's changing needs. What You Will Be Doing * Lead, manage and develop the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll teams, setting clear priorities and supporting colleagues to perform effectively. * Ensure payroll, supplier payments, customer receipts and debt-processing activities are completed accurately and within agreed timescales. * Maintain effective financial controls across the Financial Processing function, identifying risks and ensuring that appropriate remedial action is taken. * Review reconciliations and ensure that issues are investigated and resolved promptly to maintain the integrity of financial information. * Provide accurate and timely information to support monthly management reporting and year-end processes. * Ensure relevant regulatory returns and payments are completed accurately and on time. * Act as the main point of contact for internal and external audit queries relating to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll. * Work collaboratively across Finance and the wider organisation to improve processes, systems and service delivery. * Identify and implement opportunities to increase efficiency and ensure the function continues to meet changing business needs. What We Are Looking For Essential · Experience of successfully leading and developing finance teams in a busy and changing environment. · The ability to quickly understand an established function, build effective relationships and provide confident leadership from the outset. · Strong knowledge of financial processes, reconciliation and internal controls. · Experience of delivering accurate and timely financial information and working effectively with audit requirements. · Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and influence others. · Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. · Experience driving process improvement and organisational change. · High level of IT literacy including finance systems and Microsoft Office. · Evidence of continuous professional development.
