Join as a Plasterer (Multi) at bpha. Salary up to ÂŁ38,762.85 (depending on skills and experience). Location: Bedford. This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in 20 days at 23:59 GMT.
Shift Pattern Responsive Repairs Team – 40 hours weekly on an 8‑week rota:
- Shift Pattern 1: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (incl. 1 hour lunch).
- Shift Pattern 2: Monday & Wednesday 11am‑8pm, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8am‑5pm.
- Shift Pattern 3: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8am – 5pm; Wednesday 8am – 12noon; Saturday 8:30am – 12:30pm.
Role Overview: As a Plasterer – Multi Trader, you will deliver and complete repairs within our customers’ homes and vacant homes (voids). With core trade in plastering and related skills (carpentry, plumbing, tiling, decorating, bricklaying, groundworks, fencing) you will provide high standard service. You will receive uniform, tools, a company van (for business use only), and a fuel card.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete plastering and associated multi‑trade repairs to a high standard.
- Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring positive outcomes for residents.
- Adhere to all SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) policies, procedures, and safe working practices.
- Maintain van stock and order materials responsibly.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers.
- Attend training, toolbox talks, and appraisals as required.
- Ensure company property and equipment are well‑maintained.
- Maximise first‑time fix rates and productivity.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and team collaboration.

Person Specification:
Essential:
- Strong commitment to customer service excellence.

- Good general all‑round trade and construction knowledge & experience.
- Good and relevant health and safety knowledge.

- NVQ Level 2 or higher in a Construction trade, or C&G 6219‑07: Multi‑skills.
- Full clean driving licence.
Desirable:
- Desire to learn new construction skills and develop within the role.
- Good knowledge of NHF schedule of rates.
- Experience working in occupied homes.
- Experience and training on working with non‑licensed asbestos.
- First Aid Training.
Qualifications:
Ideally educated to GCSE or equivalent levels.
