Make a Difference in Your Community! Are you passionate about bringing people together and supporting thriving communities? bpha is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Community Engagement Regeneration Officer to play a key role in the regeneration of Greyfriars, Bedford, and other development projects.

As Community Engagement Regeneration Officer you will be:

  • Delivering community engagement for regeneration projects, with a focus on Greyfriars, Bedford.
  • Bringing people together to address important local issues and co-create regeneration proposals.
  • Engaging and consulting with residents, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Gathering and sharing community and stakeholder views to influence positive change.
  • Organising and representing bpha at public events, liaising with political stakeholders, local authorities, and partner agencies.
  • Supporting customers through the regeneration process, including helping with moves to new homes.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all engagement activity.
  • Working flexibly, including some evenings and weekends (with flexi-time arrangements).

What We're Looking For:

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and earn trust at all levels.
  • Creative approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
  • Good organisation, planning, and project management skills.
  • Experience in community engagement, regeneration, or social housing (desirable).
  • Ability to work with diverse communities, including those experiencing social or economic disadvantage.
  • Physically fit and able to meet the operational demands of the role.
  • Patience, perseverance, and a positive, motivated attitude.

Additional Information:

  • This is a remote working position (home based), with regular travel to Greyfriars and/or the office or other locations with a flexible approach where you can cover other areas.
  • Must be able to drive and have the use of the car for work.
  • Happy to work evenings and weekends if necessary to attend events and meetings.
