Reporting to: Scheduling Team Leader
We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Senior Scheduler to join our team. This is a key role where you’ll help coordinate the day-to-day scheduling of operatives and subcontractors, ensuring repairs are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard. You’ll act as a deputy to the Scheduling Team Leader when required, supporting the wider team while playing a crucial role in driving performance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the day-to-day scheduling of repairs and maintenance work
- Optimise schedules to maximise productivity, minimise travel time, and improve first-time fix rates
- Deputise for the Scheduling Team Leader, supporting team management and performance
- Monitor work in progress, demand, and resource levels to ensure service targets are met
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, ensuring transparency and a positive experience throughout the repairs process
- Manage follow-on works, recalls, and no-access appointments proactively
- Work collaboratively across teams to deliver a solutions-focused service
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and service delivery

Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in scheduling, planning, or logistics
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and solve problems effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office and scheduling/planning systems
- A proactive, adaptable approach with a strong customer focus
Desirable
- Experience managing or supervising a team
- Knowledge of property maintenance or housing repairs
- Understanding of scheduling systems and geographic planning
- Familiarity with NHF Schedule of Rates
