We currently have an exciting opportunity for a candidate to join bpha's In House Maintenance Service, who make a difference to our customer's lives every day by delivering a high-quality Decent Homes improvement service, designed around them. We operate across Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and surrounding areas, and we utilise the latest technology to ensure that we not only deliver a great experience for our customers, but for our colleagues as well.
We are currently looking for a Planned Works Manager to be responsible for ensuring that all works delivered by the planned works team offer value for money, an excellent customer experience, and operate within the constraints of the budget.
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for ensuring that IHMS planned works team operate within a strong culture of health, safety, environment, and quality.
- Responsible for developing a highly motivated, empowered, and engaged planned works team.
- Develop, implement, encourage, and maintain a planned works team who have a customer centric, right first-time culture.
- Ensuring that all required surveys are planned and undertaken, customer choices recorded, and delivery planned to meet the need of the bpha programme and the expectations of our customers.
- Using data to identify opportunities for efficiencies, and effective programme management.
- Responsible for maintaining supplier relationships in conjunction with the Service Delivery Manager, Commercial Manager and H&S Lead.
- Responsible for ensuring that all works delivered by the planned works team offer value for money and operate within the constraints of the budget.
We'd love to meet someone with:
- Minimum 3 years in management position within planned property maintenance or similar service.
- Experience of using data effectively to deliver large construction programmes or projects.
- Ability to take ownership of issues/problems and personally see them through to delivery.
- Good general all round construction knowledge is desirable.
- Good and relevant health and safety knowledge and qualifications.
- An experienced line manager, with the ability to inspire, lead and create large teams.
- Experience of working within tight time restraints, overcoming logistical challenges, and planning.
- Educated to HNC, HND, CIOB, an equivalent degree or substantial experience in a similar role.
- CSCS/SMSTS or equivalent(s).
- Knowledge of Decent Homes Programmes is desirable.
