Trainee Drywall & Ceiling CAD Designer

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Drywall & Ceiling CAD Designer to support our design team in producing accurate technical drawings and layouts for drywall, ceilings, and partition systems. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with a passion for design, construction, or engineering who is eager to develop professional CAD skills within the interior fit-out sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation of 2D and 3D CAD drawings for drywall, ceiling, and partition systems.
• Interpret architectural plans, specifications, and design briefs to produce accurate layouts.
• Support senior designers with design revisions, updates, and project documentation.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and project requirements.
• Maintain organised drawing files, project records, and documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and suppliers to support smooth project delivery.
• Learn and apply relevant building regulations, product systems, and installation methods.

Skills & Qualifications

• Basic understanding of construction, engineering, or architectural principles (preferred but not essential).
• Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) is an advantage; full training provided.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
