BPC Interiors are currently seeking a candidate to fill a permanent vacancy for a Drywall & Ceiling Design Manager, with an immediate start. The position will suit someone with a sound knowledge of all dry lining, partitioning and suspended ceiling systems. Additionally, experience with 3D BIM modelling would be an advantage, but not a necessity. The selected candidate would be invited to display CAD skills through examples of their work.
Key responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of the project CAD requirements, including the production of working layouts, sections, elevations, and details.
- Setting up of design office standards and user technologies, interfacing with CAD libraries and menu groups.
- Enabling construction solutions through product selection.
- Enabling auto scheduling functions for manufacturing and order processing.
- Supply technical support for all CAD software.
Skills and requirements:
- Excellent knowledge and skills using AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of BG drywall systems and current Building Safety Act legislative requirements.
- The ability to provide CAD/BIM/3D drawings and designs for partitioning projects.
- Strong technical ability, and knowledge of dry lining, partitioning, and suspended ceiling systems.
- Confidence in leading the project design.
- Skilled in the preparation of reports, designs, contracts, and specification documents.
- The ability to review technical designs, to ensure projects are kept on programme.
- An organised and tidy approach to work, and able to adapt to the construction programme.
