BPC Interiors is looking for a Ceiling & Drywall Design Apprentice to join our design team. This is a three-year apprenticeship for someone who wants to start a career in construction design, technical drawing and commercial interiors. The role will be based mainly at our London office, with site visits across London projects and day-release training through a college or training provider. The successful candidate will learn how ceiling, drywall, partition and specialist interior systems are designed, coordinated and delivered on live construction projects.

What you will learn:

  • Produce technical drawings using AutoCAD
  • Read architectural and construction drawings
  • Understand suspended ceilings, partitions and drywall systems
  • Support drawing production and design coordination
  • Learn how interior systems are installed on site
  • Develop knowledge of building regulations, manufacturer systems and health and safety requirements

You will be supported by BPC’s design team and will receive regular guidance as your skills develop.

This opportunity could suit someone with an interest in construction, design, architecture, engineering or technical drawing. We are looking for someone who is reliable, willing to learn and has good attention to detail.

You should have:

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above
  • An interest in construction and design
  • A practical approach to problem solving
  • Basic AutoCAD knowledge would be helpful, but it is not essential.

Progression:

After successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be an opportunity to progress into a permanent design role with BPC Interiors. Potential roles could include Junior CAD Designer, Design Coordinator or Technical Designer.
