This is a senior engineering role focused on maximising the reliability, availability and performance of BPA’s pipeline and terminal assets. The role involves leading reliability risk assessments, analysing asset performance data, developing maintenance strategies, and embedding reliability principles across operations and projects. You will work closely with engineering, operations, maintenance and projects teams to drive continuous improvement, ensure regulatory compliance, and support safe, efficient and cost‑effective asset management.
- Lead reliability risk assessments using methodologies such as FMEA, FMECA, HAZOP and Root Cause Analysis.
- Develop and oversee condition monitoring strategies and define asset health indicators.
- Analyse reliability, performance and failure data to identify trends and provide evidence‑based recommendations.
- Design, optimise and continuously improve maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance and project teams to embed reliability best practice.
- Integrate design‑for‑reliability principles into new assets, modifications, specifications and procurement.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to improve asset availability, data quality and operational performance across BPA’s network.
Degree‑qualified Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, or related discipline).
Experienced in reliability engineering or a closely related field within an asset‑intensive industry.
Hands‑on experience using CMMS systems for maintenance planning, asset history and performance reporting.
Ability to analyse complex data and translate findings into practical, actionable improvements.
