Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the integrity of mechanical systems ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements and in response to breakdowns.
- Oversee and develop a system which implements and records the completion of maintenance and inspection on plant and equipment at allocated locations.
- Perform other maintenance and operational tasks on COMAH Top Tier and Lower Tier storage terminals and pipeline systems operated by BPA.
- Provide maintenance and inspection services to maintain 98% plant availability targets within COMAH Top Tier storage terminals and pipeline systems operated by BPA.
- Maintain competency and authorisation to work on high-pressure mechanical systems in compliance with DSEAR, ATEX, and PSSR regulations.
- Perform and supervise maintenance, testing, fault finding, and repairs on mechanical systems, including high-pressure equipment, pumps, storage tanks, actuation systems, and oily water treatment systems.
- Prepare risk assessments, issuing permits and certificates, and overseeing safe working practices for internal staff and contractors.
- Support engineering projects by contributing to planning and execution stages, ensuring safety and operational standards are met.
- Respond to operational emergencies, liaising with emergency services and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Participate in an out-of-hours call-out roster for troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on a 24/7 - 365-day basis.
- Work additional hours as reasonably expected to fulfil extraordinary maintenance and inspection duties and project work which will occasionally necessitate night working.
Qualifications:
- A recognised professional qualification in a relevant mechanical discipline to NVQ level 3 or equivalent standard or extensive demonstrable experience in lieu of this.
- Experience of maintenance, root cause fault analysis, and ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency situations including dealing with emergency services and statutory bodies.
- Full Driving Licence.
