You’ll also support scrub-clearance activities, maintain accurate departmental records, and assist in updating GIS data to ensure the integrity of our asset information.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Keep department records, databases, and filing systems up to date so all information is accurate and easy to find.
  • Review information from external parties to understand any potential issues and pass on clear instructions to colleagues or other stakeholders.
  • Organise and track work carried out by field staff, making sure tasks are completed and any related costs are recorded properly.
  • Prepare and send letters and information packs to landowners and other contacts when needed.
  • Handle basic purchasing tasks such as raising orders and arranging equipment checks for team members.
  • Answer incoming calls to the department and help process updates received from regular monitoring activities.
  • Support other teams across the organisation by providing information from the Lands department.
  • Contribute to team projects and improvements aimed at making processes more efficient and ensuring data remains accurate.

  • Confident, calm, and clear communication skills when dealing with internal teams, landowners, contractors, solicitors, suppliers, and other external bodies.
  • Experience using GIS systems and strong general IT literacy, including Microsoft Office; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, capable of working independently while contributing positively to a small, busy team.
  • Good problem-solving ability, sound judgement when assessing third-party information, and readiness to provide clear, actionable instructions.
