- Manage day‑to‑day CP operations including data collection, validating survey results, updating CP databases and CMMS records, and supporting timely completion of routine monitoring schedules.
- Act as BPA’s on‑site CP specialist, liaising with landowners, contractors, operations teams and engineering colleagues to ensure clear communication of requirements and safe execution of field activities.
- Diagnose CP faults through structured troubleshooting, perform repairs, install replacement equipment and undertake specialist surveys such as CIPS, DCVG, PCM and AC / DC interference testing.
- Work closely with the Integrity Team to resolve technical issues, optimise CP system performance and support planning for project and maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate technical records, drawings and reports to support asset integrity, regulatory compliance and project documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance CP performance, streamline processes and support the roll‑out of improved procedures and practices.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of ICORR Level2 Certification (or equivalent) and a full UK driving licence, with the ability to travel across the UK including occasional overnight stays.
- Good understanding of cathodic protection principles, survey techniques, associated equipment and relevant industry standards.
- Proven experience in corrosion management or CP operations within pipelines, terminals or other high‑hazard industrial environments.
- Confident in troubleshooting CP issues, interpreting technical data, and working with databases, GIS tools and CMMS systems.
- Ability to prepare, interpret and update drawings, maps, procedures and technical reports with accuracy.
- Clear communication skills and strong organisation, with the ability to work independently across multiple sites while applying sound engineering judgement in a practical field environment.
