This is a senior engineering role focused on maximising the reliability, availability and performance of BPA's operating assets with a focus on above ground assets such as pumps and valves. The role involves:

  • Leading reliability risk assessments using methodologies such as FMEA, FMECA, HAZOP and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Developing and overseeing condition monitoring strategies and defining asset health indicators.
  • Analysing reliability, performance and failure data to identify trends and provide evidence-based recommendations.
  • Designing, optimising and continuously improving maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
  • Collaborating with engineering, operations, maintenance and project teams to embed reliability best practice.
  • Integrating design-for-reliability principles into new assets, modifications, specifications and procurement.
  • Leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve asset availability, data quality and operational performance across BPA's network.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, or related discipline).
  • Experienced in reliability engineering or a closely related field within an asset-intensive industry.
  • Hands-on experience using CMMS systems for maintenance planning, asset history and performance reporting.
  • Ability to analyse complex data and translate findings into practical, actionable improvements.
